Heritage and Artistry
An expression of Upper Xingu craftsmanship, the Kunho is a traditional Mehinako vessel. Each piece is hand-sculpted from wild Alapiti (river vine) to form a resilient structural body, meticulously detailed with Xepeku and Xapïtï—delicate fibers drawn from the young Buriti palm spine. This lightweight, open weave balances flexibility and strength, historically crafted for catching small river fish and drying forest harvests.
